Morning All,
As for small worlds, we stopped at Fred Meyer in Brookings and saw a fellow boater Pat Ravelli. Him and his wife were on their way to the Florida Keys.
Had breakfast in Crescent City and on the wharf were lots of stinky sea lions. Great aroma after breakfast.
Spent the night at MacKerricher State Park out of Fort Bragg. No sunset and it was chilly. Had to bring the fireplace into the tent so we didn't turn into a popsicle.
Driving from hwy 1 we took hwy 128 to 101. A much better road not winding and tree lined that it seemed like a strobe light. There is a drought and all the creek beds were dry.
On Hwy 101 somewhere around Santa Rosa the lid to the coffin (the black sky box on top of  Monty)
came open and now my pillows are being used by someone else!
Spent Monday night at Canary Inn in Monterey. We were going to go to the aquarium but it cost $39.95 per person.
Tuesday-Stopped in Carmel, cute expensive looking town. Had lunch in a small picnic area off Hwy 1, stopped and checked out Ragged Point and stopped to check out the elephant seals.
Elephant seal males grow to as much as 5,000lbs and 16ft long, the females 1,800lbs and 12ft. Pups weight 60-80 lbs at birth and 3-4ft. When weaned at 28 days they weight between 250 and 350lbs.
Tuesday night at Nick and Karens. We will be here for a few days then heading south. Nick and Karen will be our guides south to San Diego.
Hope all is well with everyone.
